I’m convinced that I can get my children to learn anything with a good game. Here’s a castle theme game I created that’s fun to play and so much learning for the toddlers and preschoolers!
There are 2 versions of this game:
1) Castle Graphing Game
Recommended age: 2 to 4yo
Learning objectives: Castle theme pictures matching simple graphing and counting from 1 to 10
How to play: Toss the paper die. Give a dot sticker or dot stamp to the picture that appears on the top of the die. Game ends when one picture gets 10 dots. Say out the name of the picture every time it appears.
2) Chinese Castle Theme Activities
Recommended age: 4 to 6yo
Learning objectives: Castle theme Chinese sight words, simple graphing
How to play: First, play a simple matching game using the word cards. Cover the cards and turn over 2 cards at the same time. If the picture and the word match, the child keeps the cards. Second, play the toss the die and dot the word game. Dot the word that matches the picture on the top of the die. Game ends when a column of words are covered.
