Inside: An activity pack with 8 learning activities for kids to learn more about the coronavirus.
Mom, what's happening?
That was my 4yo's question when she overheard our conversation about the latest news on Covid-19.
She caught me off guard. My mind was racing as I thought how to answer her question.
I was unprepared. But I knew she needed to know what's happening around the world. It's her world too.
With this goal in mind, I created this special edition Home Explorer Camp activity pack about the Coronavirus. I hope these hands-on activities can help children understand this virus, what is happening around the world and what they can do to help during this global crisis.
I have also put together a list of kid friendly resources about Coronavirus that have helped me navigate this difficult topic with my children.

8 Learning Activities For kids In a Fun Mission Game Style
This activity pack follows the fun mission game format of our hugely popular Home Explorer Camp. It comes with 8 low prep activities in the form of missions for children to complete. Once they complete a task on their mission card, they unlock the next mission and receive another card until they have completed all the missions.
There are also 3 mission cards that incorporate your daily activities like nap time, meal time and shower and 1 special card for children when they completed all their missions.
The mission number is intentionally left blank to give you maximum flexibility. Use what works for your children. You can:
- arrange the missions in any order,
- leave out any missions if you don’t think they are suitable for your children or
- add in more missions.
