What do we need?
- Duplo base board
- Duplo blocks (you will need as many sets of 3 blocks in the same color)
Setting up this color matching activity for toddlers
Put two blocks of the same color in the same row, leaving a block space between them on the Duplo base board. Do the same for the rest of the colors.
Invite your toddler to find the matching color block and fill in the spaces. To reinforce the names of the colors, say out the color as your toddler fills in each space.

Color matching + fine motor 2 in 1 activity!
It's a tricky fine motor maneuver as the toddler tries to put each block in the small single block space. Toddlers are going to love this challenge! It's kind of at the sweet spot in terms of difficulty level, it's tricky enough but not over difficulty for the little ones.

Keep these sets of blocks for another activity.
Again, easy peasy set up. Just place one block of different color on the Duplo Base Board and invite your little one to build towers of matching colors.
